1) Director of Nursing

Requirements :     

  • Registered with the Singapore Nursing Board

  • Bachelor's Degree in nursing with at least 10 years nursing experience in a healthcare setting, of which 3 years is at a nursing officer level.

  • Specialty certificate/diploma in gerontology or its equivalent preferred

  • A team player and able to work independently

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills

  • Good organisational, management and problem-solving skills

  • Leadership and influencing skills 

 

Responsibilities :

  • Operationalise Nursing Home's goals and objectives. Provide leadership and oversight in the planning, development, coordination and evaluation of nursing services.of all nursing standards as stipulated by the Ministry of Health and Singapore Nursing Board.

  • Provide leadership to the nursing team and oversight of the allied health professionals in providing safe, quality and cost-effective care to residents and families that is in accordance to policies, guidelines and procedures.

  • Develop short-term and strategic plans to accommodate trends in residential nursing care.

  • Assist CEO in identifying new programmes for the residents and special projects to meet any service gaps.

  • Operationalise and monitor smooth transition of resident's discharge back to the community.

  • Responsible for compliance

  • Ensure written policies and procedures, and work process are available and up to date to guide nursing care delivery.

  • Ensure quality audits are planned and conducted periodically.

  • Direct and facilitate quality improvement initiatives and continuous improvement projects in collaboration with other departments.

  • Ensure cost-effective service and optimal outcomes are maintained and/ or enhanced.

  • Monitor and analyse trends and changing needs of residents in long-term care institutional settings.

  • Direct and facilitate staff development, skills and competency upgrading through various opportunities and pathway.

  • Guide on-going assessment of nursing staff competencies to ensure achievement of targets set and/or expected competency levels.

  • Guide in identifying, planning and making decisions to meet training and developmental needs of nursing and ancillary staff.

  • Develop/ Review and update job descriptions of all categories of healthcare staff.

  • Utilise performance management and counselling skills effectively to motivate staff to perform at their optimal level and ensure care delivered is in compliance to standards of practice.

  • Ensure the safe storage of all confidential files, records, documents; and that residents confidentiality is maintained at all times.

  • Ensure that effective and cooperative working relationships are maintained within the Nursing Department and between internal and external customer groups.

  • Ensure equipment in use is appropriate and sufficient, and regular maintenance is carried out. 

  • Any other duties as assigned by the CEO.

     

 

2) Physiotherapy Aide / Occupational Therapy Aide

Requirements :

  • WSQ higher certificate in therapy services

  • GCE 'N' level

  • On-the-job training if no relevant certificate for the post of Occupational Therapy Aid

 

Responsibilities:

  • Comply with approved standards of therapy practices.

  • Assist in the delivery of therapy services for residents as planned by the physiotherapist/ occupational therapist.

  • Participate in activities to improve the quality of care.

  • Ensure the safety, comfort and well-being of the residents and report residents' needs to the physiotherapist/ occupational therapist.

  • Assist in oral feeding of residents without swallowing disorders.

  • Assist in the transfer and portering of non-ambulant residents.

  • Assist and participate in residents' physical, recreational, occupational, social and therapy programmes.

  • Alert physiotherapist/ occupational therapist to emergency situations, incidents and behaviour change of residents. Where necessary, take first responder actions to mitigate the emergency and situation.

  • Maintain a safe and clean environment, e.g. cleaning and disinfecting therapy equipment.

  • Any other duties as assigned by physiotherapist/ occupational therapist.

 

 

3) Cook

Requirements :     

  • Minimum with secondary education

  • Singapore Citizen/ Permanent Resident preferred

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

 

Responsibilities:

  • Estimate food & beverage consumption & order of food supplies.

  • Plan & develop creative recipes.

  • Control cost by minimizing spoilage, waste and exercising portion control.

  • Handle kitchen equipment, utensils, crockery, cutlery and furniture in a proper manner and clean them after use.

  • Follow established procedures and kitchen hygiene rules as specified by NEA's Code of Standard.

  • Prepare food for ad-hoc functions if any.

  • Maintain and keep the environment of the kitchen safe, tidy, clean and hygienic.

  • Plan and oversee catering food and food distribution.

 

 

 

4) Assistant Cook

Requirements :     

  • Minimum with secondary education

  • Singapore Citizen/ Permanent Resident preferred

  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

 

 

Responsibilities :

  • Assist to cut and prepare food ingredients, arrange and serve all food according to the standard set by the Cook.

  • Assist to control cost by minimizing spoilage, waste and exercising portion control.

  • Handle kitchen equipment, utensils, crockery, cutlery and furniture in a proper manner and clean them after use.

  • Follow established procedures and kitchen hygiene rules as specified by NEA's Code of Standard.

  • Assist to prepare food for ad-hoc functions if any

  • Assist to maintain and keep the environment of the kitchen safe, tidy, clean and hygienic

  • To do stock inventory for all kitchen equipment and accessories. Report for any malfunction of kitchen machines.

RESUMPTION OF IN-PERSON VISITS TO NURSING HOMES FOR FULLY VACCINATED PERSONS

We are adhering to the advisories issued by the Ministry of Health to ensure the safety of our residents and staff during this period.

Kindly be informed that the following will apply to all visitors when you visit Bright Hill Evergreen Home. 

  1. Our staff on duty at Level 1 Reception Office will required your NRIC/ Identity Card to register your visit and use TraceTogether Mobile app or token to check-in.

  2. Health Declaration and Travel History Declaration is required during the registration.

  3. Temperature will be taken during registration.

  4. Bring along your own mask and wear it at all times within the nursing home.

  5. Safe Distancing of 1 metre is required at all time with the nursing home.

7:30am to 6:00pm (Daily)


Resident’s Next of Kin Visitation Hours
1:00pm to 4:00pm (Daily)

  • Strictly by appointment only

  • Only residents and predesignated vistors who are both fully vaccinated can visit

  • Duration per visit is 30 mins

  • Please be punctual. No time extension granted beyond allocated time slot

Home reserves right to decline visitors who do not adhere to above T&C.

No Face to Face Visitation

 

Dear Visitors, 

For the safety of your loved ones, all in-person visits to Bright Hill Evergreen Home will be suspended from 30/6/2022 to 31/7/22 due to rise in COVID cases.
 

This will reduce the risk of transmission of COVID-19 from the community to the nursing homes.

 

In the meantime, we will continue to facilitate communication with residents through telephone and video calls. We thank you for your support as we do our utmost best during this period.
